Silver Spring Day School- Day 1

Marian never looked back this morning. You'll notice, Glenn School was well represented in Silver Spring. It was a rainy day so the school didn't get to spend a lot of time on the playground. Joseph, however, got a good ride on the dragon on our way out this morning.

Here's Joseph's first black eye.

Pre Preschool Days

These are photos from Marian's second playdate before the beginning of the school year. I was surprised to discover that Marian will be in class with the child of a woman who attended Dension with me. Small word, indeed. After looking at some of these pictures I've decided we will have to send Marian to posture school.

Building Museum

This place has a reputation for being amazingly fun for the under 5 set. It lived up to its reputation and then some. We've been busy (preschool starts next week. please oh please) How I managed to miss getting any shots of Nona and Grandaddy's visit this past weekend alludes me. But they came, they played, they returned home absolutely exhausted and sick (that's just the way we roll these days).

Marian Meets Ms. Lisa

Marian's schoool opening has been delayed two weeks because the church isn't quite ready for children yet (lead paint testing). Her teacher, Ms. Lisa, arranged a few dates around the city to meet her students. Yesterday, we gathered at a bookstore in Silver Spring and Ms. Lisa read for two straight hours. Marian was her most attentive customer. I think she'll get along just fine.

Jessie's 18th

Party Time!

Our dance card is filling up already. Two parties on our second weekend! These are from Jessie's 18th birthday party last night. The video is pretty priceless, if I do say so myself.

The Road to Washington

This blog will be short on words and long on images. The road to Washington was made shorter by visits with great people.
